Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a popular cosmetic surgery that involves liposuction to remove excess fat from areas like the abdomen, flanks, or thighs, and then transferring that fat to the buttocks to enhance shape and volume. The procedure begins with liposuction and then followed by purification of suctioned fat and finalized by injection of purified fat into variois areas of the buttocks to achieve the desired shape.
Most common reasons for BBL are; desire for a fuller, shapelier buttocks, improved body porpotions and redistirbution of fat for a more contoured appearance.
BBL typically takes several hours, with the exact duration depending on the extent of liposuctional area and fat transfer.
Recovery involves avoiding prolonged sitting and following specific post-operative instructions. Swelling and bruising are common initially.
It’s crucial to consult with a specialist plastic surgeon to discuss individual considerations, potential risks, and expected outcomes. Additionally, the safety of BBL has been a topic of concern, and patients should seek qualified surgeons with experience in this procedure.
